AI customer service that already knows your site
InChat reads your pages, docs and FAQ, then answers customers in their own words — and hands the conversation to your team the moment a person is needed. One line of JavaScript, live in about five minutes.

01 AI support
An AI chatbot that reads your site, then answers from it.
Most chatbots are glorified decision trees: “Did you mean A or B?” — click, click, still no answer. InChat reads your actual website content, your docs, your FAQ — then answers the way a knowledgeable rep would. Plain language, real context, zero script.
Ask “what's the difference between Starter and Plus?” and it pulls straight from your pricing page. Ask “do you integrate with Zapier?” and it checks your docs. Real answers, with the source page attached.
Multi-turn context
Follows pronouns, references and intent across messages.
Cited from your content
Every answer links back to the page it came from.
Confidence scoring
Escalates to a human when certainty drops below threshold.

03 Response · 0.8s
For your volume, Plus at $149/mo is the fit — 2,000 AI conversations, 10 agents, omnichannel inbox. Want me to walk through what's included?
If nothing relevant is retrieved, the agent says so and offers a human instead of guessing.

Crawl · chunk · embed
Other tools want you to write a knowledge base from scratch. We point a crawler at your website instead — your content is your training data.
Homepage, docs, FAQ, blog, every page: we chunk it, embed it, and index it into a private vector store. Upload PDFs, DOCX or TXT for anything not on the site — product manuals, internal policy, compliance sheets. The agent treats them the same way.

SaaS customer support
Software companies deal with the same tier-1 tickets endlessly: “How do I reset my password?”, “Does your API support webhooks?”, “What's the rate limit?” Your docs already have the answers — InChat makes them instantly accessible.
The agent learns from your changelog and docs. Complex technical questions get escalated with full conversation context already attached.
Point training at your docs and changelog. Tier-1 questions get answered from the page that already documents them; bugs and billing escalate with the transcript attached.

Agency white-label
Managing 10, 20, 50 client websites with separate tools is a nightmare. InChat's multi-site dashboard lets you spin up agents per client from one place. Each one trains on that client's content, answers their visitors, wears their branding.
Remove InChat branding entirely (Starter and above) and present it as your own. Clients see their logo, their colours. You manage everything from one dashboard.

SaaS onboarding
The most expensive problem in SaaS is churn from users who never figured out the product. InChat's proactive triggers let you intercept them at the right moment — stuck on settings, haven't completed setup.
Set triggers based on page, time, scroll depth or custom events. The AI reaches out with contextual help using your onboarding docs.

Internal help desk
IT support, HR questions, policy lookups — internal teams field the same questions constantly. “How do I expense client lunch?”, “What's the dental cutoff?”, “How do I request VPN?” The answers exist in your handbook and wiki.
Deploy on your intranet. Team members get answers without tickets. IT and HR spend time on complex issues — not the same policy question for the 40th time.

Real estate & professional services
Law firms, accounting, real estate, consultancies — websites full of service information. “What's included in your tax filing?”, “What neighbourhoods do you specialise in?”, “Do you work internationally?” These are lead-qualifying questions a chat widget can answer around the clock.
InChat captures visitor details as part of the chat flow. Complex inquiries route to the right person with context. Wake up to warm leads — not cold contact forms.
Lead qualification
The AI asks about timeline, budget and needs before routing — your team gets context before the first call.
After-hours capture
The AI handles common questions and captures contact details for follow-up.
Calendly integration

06 Honest comparison
InChat versus the incumbents.
The most common reason teams switch from Intercom: the bill. Per-seat plus $0.99 per AI resolution adds up. A 10-person team at Intercom is $990/mo before AI. InChat is $149/mo, AI included.
Crisp is solid at a lower price — but Hugo is capped at 50 AI responses/mo on Essentials ($95). You'll burn through that in a day.
If you need Intercom's Salesforce integration, predictive CSAT or enterprise SLAs, Intercom is the right call. For everyone else, InChat is most of the value at a fraction of the cost.

07 Migration
InChat vs Intercom, Crisp and Tidio, tool by tool.
Where each alternative is genuinely strong, where it gets expensive, and what InChat does differently. Public list prices, no spin.
Intercom
Intercom is the industry leader with the deepest feature set. But that power comes at a price. Per-seat means a 10-person team pays $290–$1,320/mo before AI. Fin charges $0.99 per resolution on top — 2,000 AI chats is $1,980 extra. A startup that started with 2 agents at $58 suddenly pays $700+ as the team scales.
InChat advantage
Flat $149/mo, 10 agents, 2,000 AI conversations included. No per-seat fees, no per-resolution charges.
Crisp
Crisp has a great free tier — perfect for solo founders. The widget is clean, the inbox is well-designed. But Hugo on Essentials ($95/mo) is capped at 50 AI interactions per month. Real traffic exhausts that in a week. Unlimited AI means the $295/mo plan.
InChat advantage
500 AI conversations at $49/mo versus Crisp's 50 at $95/mo — ten times the AI for roughly half the price.
Zendesk
Zendesk is built for enterprise ticketing, not chat. Their Suite starts at $55/agent/mo, and chat is just one component. Most small to mid-size teams use 20% of Zendesk while paying for the full suite. AI requires Suite Professional at $115/agent/mo.
InChat advantage
Purpose-built for chat, not bolted onto ticketing. Five minutes to live versus weeks of Zendesk configuration.
Drift & Tidio
Drift has pivoted to high-end B2B conversational marketing — pricing starts at $2,500/mo. If you're B2B enterprise running ABM with Salesforce and 6sense, Drift is purpose-built. For everyone else it is a Formula 1 car for grocery shopping. Tidio's Lyro AI is a paid add-on ($39/mo) on top of the base plan.
InChat advantage
AI is included in every plan, never an add-on. Three operators and 500 AI chats for $49/mo.

What does it actually save you?
A worked example, so you can run the same maths on your own numbers. Assume 400 support conversations a month, each needing a human at roughly $15 of labour (salary, benefits and overhead) — $6,000/month.
Now assume the AI answers three quarters of them from your content, leaving about 88 for a human: $1,320 plus the $149 InChat Plus subscription is $1,469/mo.
On those assumptions the line item drops by roughly $4,500/mo. Your real deflection rate depends on how much of your content the agent has to work with — the dashboard reports it from day one.

09 Under the hood
How it works. No magic, just engineering.
There is a lot of hand-waving in the AI support space. Here is what InChat actually does.
When you add your URL, our crawler visits every page (up to 50 free, unlimited on Plus). For each page we extract the meaningful text, strip nav and footer boilerplate, and split content into chunks of 500–800 tokens. Each chunk becomes a high-dimensional embedding — a vector representing meaning, not just words.
When a visitor asks a question, we convert it to the same kind of embedding and search for the most semantically similar chunks of your content. This is retrieval-augmented generation. The AI doesn't hallucinate — it finds relevant chunks from your actual content, passes them to the language model as context, and generates a response grounded in what your website says. If nothing relevant is found, the AI acknowledges that.
The AI is only as good as the content you give it. Thorough docs, a detailed FAQ and clear pricing handle the vast majority. A sparse website routes more to humans. The dashboard shows which topics work and which need more content.
Supplement with file uploads — product manuals, internal docs, training materials, return policies, compliance docs. PDF, DOCX and TXT are indexed alongside your website.
What AI handles — and what it doesn't.
Being honest about the limitations matters as much as showing the capability.
Handles well
Better with humans
The AI handles what has a clear, content-based answer, and routes what needs human judgment with full context attached. That is the whole job.

13 FAQ
Common questions, honest answers.
Paste your website URL into InChat. It crawls and indexes your pages, FAQs and docs to train an AI chat agent, then gives you a single line of JavaScript to drop on your site. Your AI chatbot is live in about five minutes, on Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace or any HTML site.
InChat crawls your website, extracts the meaningful text from each page, splits it into chunks and converts them into embeddings stored in a private vector index. When a visitor asks a question, the AI retrieves the most relevant content and answers from it (retrieval-augmented generation), so it responds from your actual content instead of making things up.
Yes. InChat replaces live chat, AI responses and a shared inbox at flat monthly pricing with AI conversations included in every plan. There are no per-seat fees and no per-resolution AI charges, so a growing team typically pays a fraction of what Intercom costs once AI usage is added.
Yes. The AI handles what it can and, when confidence drops or a visitor needs a person, it hands off to a human operator with the full conversation history, an AI summary and a suggested reply already attached.
One AI conversation is a single session where a visitor exchanges messages with the AI agent. Ten messages from the same visitor in one session count as one conversation. The counter resets monthly on your billing date.
Yes. Installation is a copy-paste of one script tag before the closing body tag. No plugin, no SDK and no developer required, and the widget loads asynchronously so it does not slow down your page.
Plans start at $49/mo for Starter (500 AI conversations, 3 agents), $149/mo for Plus (2,000 AI conversations, 10 agents, omnichannel inbox and knowledge base) and $499/mo for Pro (unlimited AI conversations and multi-site management). Enterprise pricing is custom.
Yes. The AI replies in whatever language the visitor writes in, translating from your content if needed, and the widget interface language is configurable.
Usually 5–15 minutes for under 100 pages. First pages are indexed within minutes — you can test the agent immediately while the rest of the crawl runs. Sites with 500+ pages take longer but are usable as pages come in.
Yes. On Starter and above: remove InChat branding, set your logo, choose any colour, configure position, write a greeting, set an avatar, configure office hours. On Pro: custom CSS for full control.
If confidence is too low it either acknowledges that and offers a human, or triggers automatic handoff — you configure the threshold. The AI never invents answers; it is retrieval-based and only responds from content it actually has.
Absolutely. Deploy on any URL — intranets, employee portals. Point training at your internal wiki, handbook, IT docs and HR policies. Team members get answers without raising tickets.
Cancel any time from billing in your dashboard. Your subscription stays active through the end of the period. No fees. Data is retained for 30 days post-cancellation, then permanently deleted.
Starter: 5 URLs. Plus: unlimited. Pro and Enterprise: unlimited with a priority queue. Pages per domain are unlimited on Plus and above — a 10,000-article docs site is fine.
